Patients report the effects of this strain to be relaxing, and calming, while still being able to be productive if needed. Users report this strain being a good choice for stress, anxiety, insomnia, and appetite loss. This may also be a great strain for mild depression due to the relaxing effects.
The THC levels on this strain range between 20% and 25% making it a strain for your everyday smokers. We would advise using with caution in low to moderate THC consumers until you have a feel for this strain’s effects. This strain would be best suited for nighttime or evening use, as if you overindulge you may find yourself couch-locked or sleeping.
Flowers on this strain are typically small to medium in size, are dense and covered in a layer of glistening trichomes. Upon opening the bag you will smell slight hints of sweetness and fruit, along with trails of herbs and spices. When combusting or vaping this product you will enjoy a sweet and creamy smoke, which is smooth on the lungs and sometimes has a vanilla finish.
Sample submitted: “Ice Cream Cake” dried cannabis flowers.
Visual Inspection: Free from visible contamination and foreign matter.
Activated vs non-activated: activated cannabinoids are non-acidic (neutral) and are the form utilized by the human brain/ body. Activation occurs via heating (smoking, vaporizing, cooking). Cannabinoids in the natural plant are acidic (non-activated) and need to be converted to their neutral form in order to be utilized by the human body. Therefore one would expect fresh cannabis buds to contain mainly non-activated cannabinoids. Processed materials (baked goods, heated extracts) should be higher in the activated forms.
Absent Cannabinoids: if a cannabinoid or terpene is blank, it is not necessarily absent but below the limit of detection by the detector (usually less than 0.01%).
•when reporting totals, acidic cannabinoids are multiplied by 0.877 to account for loss of mass from decarboxylation upon heating (activating)
