THIS IS POPCORN BUD: Popcorn bud are smaller buds from a quality plant. They are usually smaller because they come from lower on the plant – but they can also be larger buds that have broken into smaller pieces. They can be less potent but are from the same quality plant as the larger buds.

Nose: A – not too strong or amazing of an aroma on this one.
Taste: AA – tastes ok for a value product.
Burn: AAA – Smooth burning with a moderately clean Ash looked like it should’ve been flushed an extra day but burned well overall.
Visual: AAA smaller green nugs with an okay haircut product is a bit leafy but lots of visible crystal. Stem snaps, product is dried properly.
Info: Afghani is an indica dominate strain. Its name gives credit to the plant’s country of origin where some of the earliest varieties of cannabis came from and have been grown for a long time. Afghani is well known and loved by breeders and hash producers alike for its high resin content. It makes fine hash with its resin like leaves and passes its resin genes along to any strain its crossed with.

Activated vs non-activated: activated cannabinoids are non-acidic (neutral) and are the form utilized by the human brain/ body. Activation occurs via heating (smoking, vaporizing, cooking). Cannabinoids in the natural plant are acidic (non-activated) and need to be converted to their neutral form in order to be utilized by the human body. Therefore one would expect fresh cannabis buds to contain mainly non-activated cannabinoids. Processed materials (baked goods, heated extracts) should be higher in the activated forms.
