Info: Blueberry is a true A-List cannabis strain. It was awarded the High Times’ Cannabis Cup 2000 for Best Indica. The strain originated with American breeder DJ Short, who was working with a variety of exotic landrace strains in the 1970’s. The genetics have changed through the decades as DJ Short worked with multiple seed banks and breeders. The sweet flavour of blueberries accompanies a relaxing euphoria. A favourite of many medical and recreational users. Good for stress, pain, depression, insomnia, fatigue and nausea.

The Blueberry Indica originates from extrinsic Landrace strains that breeder DJ Short had tinkered with in the 70’s and eventually conjured up the Blueberry Indica. Genetically, Blueberry is a triple hybrid of Thai and purple variant parents in combination with an Indica Afghani parent. It is named as an Indica strain due to the dominance of Indica at 80 percent to the 20 percent sativa content in the strain. Blueberry is best grown by seasoned growers due to level of engrossment needed particularly in the stage of maturation.
Blueberry is best grown in a spacious outdoor area with an ideal Mediterranean climate with lots of sun. The Blueberry Indica strain does not boast a high yield, however, it does deliver superior quality and potency. Average reported yields of Blueberry per 1,000 watts or square meter range from 120 grams to up to 200 grams. It can grow to an average of 78 inches when fully matured, and takes on average anywhere between 49 days and 63 days to flower, depending on the growth environment being indoors or outdoors.
